Getting in

Admissions

Call admissions or walk in at either facility. The first step is an assessment, which sets the level of care that fits you. You do not need to know which program you need before you call.

From the first call to your first day

  1. Call, or walk in

Both facilities welcome walk-ins. If you would rather not call, request a call back.

  2. Assessment

A clinician works out which level of care fits. A nurse practitioner and a registered nurse decide whether ambulatory detox is safe for you.

  3. Insurance

Leora accepts all major commercial insurance and Medicaid. Contact your insurance provider to find out what your plan covers.

  4. Start

You begin at the level of care the assessment recommends, and you set your treatment goals with your team in the first few days.

Before you come in

Common questions

Before you call

Do I need a referral?
No. You can call yourself, or a family member can call on your behalf, and both facilities welcome walk-ins.
What does the assessment cover?
Your medical history, your current substance use, the medications you take and any mental health conditions.
Can someone come with me?
Yes. Family involvement is your choice, and it can be helpful for the parts of your history that are hard to recall on your own.
What if I am not ready to stop?
Come anyway. Motivational interviewing exists precisely for people who are not sure, and the assessment is not a commitment.
